Technology is moving at such a rapid pace, and if you are not following it up you are moving a step backward. With Google glass becoming a reality, XBOX like platforms are becoming must haves, technology is truly going towards motion sensing. One such technology which is amazing and sounds useful is EYE DROP. This system is developed by Jayson Turnerwith colleagues at Lancaster University, UK
Using this new technology users can move files from their computer screens onto their smartphones or tablets with just a quick look. The technology uses a head-mounted eye tracker that at once records the user's field of view so it knows where they are looking on the screen.
The user gazes at an object -- for example, a photo -- and then presses a key to select that object. It can then be moved from the screen to a tablet or smartphone just by glancing at the second device, as long as the two are connected wirelessly.
The developer of this technology Jayson Turner says "The beauty of using gaze to support this is that our eyes naturally focus on content that we want to acquire”.Users just needs a button to be used to select the object you are looking at otherwise you end up with the "Midas touch" effect, whereby everything you look at gets selected by your gaze."Imagine if your mouse clicked on everything it pointed at," he summed it up.
